ABOUT SHOP & STUDIO

SPACEBAR ZINE is an independent publishing project by SPACEBAR DESIGN STUDIO, founded in 2017 by Wimonporn Wisidh and Wisaruth Wisidh — a couple who have shared a long journey together in the world of print, books, and art since their university days. Their paths first crossed while working at daypoets, the creative house behind a day magazine and a book publishing.

Driven by a shared passion for graphic design and visual storytelling, the duo launched their own creative studio under the name SPACEBAR DESIGN STUDIO, focusing on graphic design for Thai artists. Alongside it, they established SPACEBAR ZINE as a dedicated arm for independent publishing, artist books, and zines. Their debut publication featured collaborative zines with over 10 artists and premiered at the very first Bangkok Art Book Fair in 2017.

Over the past 8 years, SPACEBAR ZINE has collaborated with Thai and Asian artists to produce over 100 titles, spanning independent publications, art books, and experimental zines. The studio has also opened its doors for workshops, bookmaking sessions, and public talks — gradually cultivating a small yet vibrant print community in Bangkok.

From 2017 to 2020, the studio’s shop operated by appointment only. It temporarily closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and eventually reopened in 2024.

In 2025, SPACEBAR ZINE relocated to a new and expanded storefront at GalileOasis Art Space in Bangkok’s Ratchathewi district. Now open daily to the public, the shop features not only their in-house zines and publications but also a curated selection of over 300 artist books from around the world.

SPACEBAR ZINE is also known for what they call their “Art Book Fair Adventures” — an ongoing mission to share Thai independent publishing with the world. Beyond Bangkok, they have participated in art book fairs across Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Melbourne, proudly representing the voices and creativity of Thailand’s print culture each year.
