Troublemakers

Troublemakers is a Tokyo-based, fully bilingual (En/Ja) independent magazine that tells stories of misfits. The two behind the magazine go to meet misfits we want to meet and tell the real voices and unique life stories of individuals living today.

The first issue features:

- Remy Nitta, an Osaka-based American trans woman, massage therapist, gamer, and mom

- Maya Sekine @sito_channel, a Japanese indigenous people Ainu culture advocate

- German photographer Tamara Eckhardt @tamara_eckhardt_ ’s photo documentary about an Irish minority group called Travellers

- Christian Cohle @christiancohle, an Irish singer-songwriter

- Mio Kojima @mio__kojima and Maya Ober @maya__ober, co-directors of a Switzerland-based intersectional feminist platform Futuress @futuress_org

- Japanese artist Taro Karibe @tarokaribe ’s essay on his depersonalization
